They won't see those trees now either because they have been cut down due to a canker infection. something like 40,000 platan, plane trees, had to be destroyed due to the infection. It was heart breaking to see!
 
Mlýnská strouha (the Mill Gully) in Pilsen was originally one of the side branches of the Radbuza River. It was filled in 100 years ago to reinforce the main course of the river on which the hydroelectric power station was built. The area was revitalised in 2008-2010 to symbolically return the water surface to the area in the form of a pond.

Four rivers flow through Pilsen (Úhlava, Úslava, Mže and Radbuza), which gradually flow together; from the confluence of the Mže and Radbuza rivers, the Berounka River is formed on the territory of the town. I have been living in Pilsen since 1986 and today I got to this confluence for the first time. On the left the Mže, on the right the Radbuza, in front the Berounka. The second picture is upstream from the Berounka.
