Your artsy fartsy take on a weekly theme #2 - REFLECTIONS in WATER

I set up this weekly challenge with a wink; it's primarily intended as an outlet for everyone to fully let loose in their artistic experience, but ultimately, of course, also to further develop one's own possibilities as a photographer by discovering new photographic techniques or photo editing methods.

Essentially, the task for everyone in this weekly challenge is to leave all standard images at home and to showcase exclusively creative edits, in whatever form.
To ensure some regularity and guidance in this challenge, there's a weekly theme.

The rules:
- maximum of 3 photos in each challenge
- black & white and color allowed
- all conceivable edits and combinations allowed, as long as the theme is taken as the starting point
- weekly challenge runs from Friday (afternoon) until the following Friday morning
- a brief explanation of the technique, editing software, plugins, etc. is welcomed
- maximum image size according to forum rules

This challenge is purely for fun, with no competition and no prizes.
Any digital or analog photographer can participate in this weekly challenge. Feel free to dive into the world of creative photography and editing, let's forget all geopolitical issues for a moment!
I hope many members are interested in participating and in doing so make this new challenge a success!

Cheers, Gerard

To get you'll started, here's two of mine

The Lighter Side of Upside Down
Processed the image through NIK Silver Efex, then restored the color on just the reflections. Passed the entire image through NIK Color Efex's Detail Extractor filter. Passed the image through Photoshop's Image Gallery's Poster Edges filter. Finally went and had a large cup of coffee and took some Advil for my sore eyes!!

I'm very fond of this graphic look in black and white; in the analog era, I did a lot of graphically oriented work (using Afga O81 and N33 graphic sheet films, ortho film etc.), partly inspired by my mentor, Dutch photographer Hans Gotze, and well known photographer Paul de Nooyer, who continued to create such graphically oriented images for pretty much his entire life.
