Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Halloween Decorations. As always, be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Halloween is next Friday, so, the decorations are ramping up. Show us some of the decorations near you! Show us some Halloween!

Here are the rules:

  • Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives.
  • Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you).
  • Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
  • Post your shots at any time during the week.
  • Please abide by the Focus on Photography posting rules.
  • Please keep your contributions to a maximum of 4 images or less.
As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

That's it!

Have fun!

Back when I was in elementary school, my sister and I were dressed one year as Miss Muffet and her spider. My sister was the spider and she had to walk around crouched over all night.

I wonder what display he got that spider from.

Around here they go for decorations in a big way. Bob complains that up in town he can't tell if someone is waiting to cross in a crosswalk or it if is a Halloween decoration. I can't get out there to see, but I took some photos of my neighbor's decorations.

We had Active Aging Week here, and I went down to the Art room where they gave us little pumpkin shaped gourds to draw on with magic markers. I drew 4 faces on the four sides of mine. The first one I did had purple eyes and I named her Elizabeth Taylor

Not everyplace does Halloween, although some places put candles on the graves in the cemetery on All Hallows Eve
