Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Arches. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Show us Arches this week.. (who will be the first to show us the "golden arches"?)

Here are the rules:

  • Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives.
  • Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you).
  • Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
  • Post your shots at any time during the week.
  • Please abide by the Focus on Photography posting rules.
  • Please keep your contributions to a maximum of 4 images or less.
As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

That's it!

Have fun!

My walks so far this week haven't taken me to great arch locations, but because Spanish-style buildings are sprinkled around, arch-shaped architectural details are fairly easy to find. This is a garage on a hilly street--the really hilly part is out of frame at the right.

I learned, this past weekend, that taking a prime lens out to look for arches wasn't a good idea. Mobility issues made it difficult to zoom with my feet...

That's too bad. Maybe you could shoot from a car?

I had a couple more ideas, but then the weather turned drizzly and gray, very gray. This is a harder theme than kitchen tools.

I often do shoot from my car - many of the photos I share here are taken from the front seat - but usually using a zoom lens for the versatility. I really do not know why I went looking with an 85mm lens :ROFLMAO:
