If that's an aid to walking, it looks pretty rigid for the purpose. You'd think it could be made at least a little springy to provide flexibility. People use their ankle joints in walking.

It is my ankle that doesn't work. I can't flex my feet so if I am not wearing that, my toes drag when I try to walk. It was made to measure for my foot, and it is better than the generic one they gave me in the hospital which had too high an arch. That hurt to walk on. And one of them I had to cut the toe out of my shoe because it was too long or else my toes got crunched.
