Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week, the theme is Confined. As always, be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Show us things that are Confined.. I don't want to see pictures of y'all in jail, so just don't! ;)

Here are the rules:

  • Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives.
  • Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you).
  • Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
  • Post your shots at any time during the week.
  • Please abide by the Focus on Photography posting rules.
  • Please keep your contributions to a maximum of 4 images or less.

That is impressive Mr Marmot..
Lovely film shot and beautiful processing.
I'd love to know how you got to the final image.

Thank you!

I was on the way to the airport and wanted an old gravestone with the mossy trees "atmospheric" picture - and stopped at a catholic cemetery near the Air B&B I was staying at. I shot this purposely through slightly hazy car window to soften it up. Once I got home and unpacked - it was loaded into my Jobo tank, developed with monobath Cinestill Df96, hung to dry. Then it was "scanned" with my Nikon D800 w/Nikon 105mm Macro & a Sunray III lightbox & negative holder. Converted with Negative Lab Pro & very little editing (straightened) in Lightroom. I shot 5 rolls through the 1950s Mamiya while I was there, so I am excited to see how the rest turned out as the camera hasn't let me down yet!

I hope you start your own thread and share your outcomes. I for one, am really interested, having shot with a Mamiya Secor in my early days.
This shot is certainly a great outcome!

It looks like infrared

and Welcome Home!

After searching for a half-hour, this pet is Confined to quarters ...

That's why I keep my two parakeets in the cage, because they can get into too much trouble if allowed access to the whole house. They could fall behind blinds, refrigerator, stove, behind clothes in the closets, etc. A parrot is much larger and easier to find................usually.

Well, this parrot doesn't fly, but walks and waddles to her destinations. She does get into trouble, so she is only out when supervised, but she is sneaky!

@SonomaTim Don't feel too sorry for her, it's not like she needs toys!!

My feet are confined in my AFOs (Ankle Foot Orthotics) There's a plastic piece under each foot that keeps my foot flexed. Otherwise my foot points and my toes drag making it harder to walk. They keep the tendons in the front of my leg from getting stretched. But they are not real comfortable. I don't wear them to bed or in the pool.

There are books confined to this little free library until someone
comes along a liberates them.
It is a replica of the firehall that it sits beside.
That's a really impressive one. My area has many of these, but nothing with such fine craftsmanship.

This is what the AFO looks like out of the shoe and off my foot.
