Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Stacks. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Let's find some Stacks and Share them! Show us Stacks

Here are the rules:

  • Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives.
  • Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you).
  • Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
  • Post your shots at any time during the week.
  • Please abide by the Focus on Photography posting rules
As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

That's it!

Have fun!

On the road the past few days. Saw some really ugly things here in Calgary. Pictures simply cannot do Tesla trucks justice, they are far uglier seen live. I saw a silver one, later a black version proved they could get even uglier. As if that wasn't enough visual trauma I then spotted this almost new construction just North of the University along Crowchild Trail. While its dominate feature is ugliness it is stacked ugliness.

Stacks and stacks of snow flakes over many millennia, after travelling ~2500 km south, likely from western Greenland. This one yesterday was just by the horizon (46 km distant at my elevation), so it is quite large. I only had a 300mm lens so not a great quality image with a lot of cropping. And some temperature distortion.

Took a little walk today . . .

Outside a restaurant, stacked chairs, stools, plates, napkins, bricks

There were six of these in a row at the front of a lot, with elegant old houses behind. They seem to be concrete forms, an early step in building a fence or a wall.
