Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Something from the Kitchen. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

This week we want to see Something from the Kitchen. It can be food, utensils, edible or non-edible, your choice, just show us Something from the Kitchen!

Here are the rules:

  • Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives.
  • Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you).
  • Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
  • Post your shots at any time during the week.
  • Please abide by the Focus on Photography posting rules
As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

That's it!

Have fun!

I do the cooking in this house - and, for convenience, I use 2 microwaves. The bright square in the top one is a reflection of the skylight in the kitchen ceiling.

I stole this from the kitchen

And, this is a picture of part of my disorganised pantry. Lower shelf to the right is my wifes GF corner...R5__7496.jpg

A cast iron Dutch oven with a skillet lid. Can't even begin to count the number of stews and spaghetti sauces that have come from that dutch oven. Even though it's more than 100 years old the skillet still makes fabulous pancakes.
Passed along from my paternal Grandmother to my Mother. Mom passed along to us in the mid 1980s as she couldn't lift it anymore.

Saw a recipe on the internet that looked good and was quick and easy. My wife and I are recovering from some kind of respiratory distress, so my usual BBQ and smoking prowess are taking a break.

Cast Iron is the best! I have a pan like yours too.
They are about the only ones I use..
Also 2 Dutch ovens and 4 sizes of fry pans

I admit I was a cast iron skeptic during my single days but my wife fixed my misconceptions. Now, that's all we use for making pancakes, dosas (Indian-style crepes), etc.
