Rainy you say? Here's a shot from a few days ago when it just never stopped raining. A shot for the record. He was too far away and this is a big crop but it shows the rain very well.

Although if I got to choose, I would take your bird over this one any day, rain or not... Great shot, by the way, Sid.

Went on a boat trip last Saturday and part of the time we had that kind of weather(and these do not even show the waves we sometimes had), enough Gannets(and others).

Luckily later on the sun came out. There were so many birds(to many, see photobomb...) I could give the II a good test:) and I'm happy I switched(although the amount of in focus shots meant I've binned hundreds of perfectly good shots).

Love the last one. That shot too shows the conditions very well.
The first shot makes me seasick just by looking at it! Because I get really seasick on open sea.
Nice ones, Jan. Especially the first.

Love the first one. Great shot that.

And yes, that's the downside of the amazing AF on the latest generations of cameras, the crazy amount of good shots you come home with. There really is no comparison with my old 1D4.

Thanks Levina, yep that's the weather we've had here, it's a bit better today and we've got a few nice days coming, fingers crossed.
It's always good if you can show the weather no matter which bird, although I'm with you on which bird is better! :laugh2:
My birds tend to stay hunkered down in the worst of the weather if they can, a little bit of drizzle seems to be acceptable though ;biggrin;

Conditions do look far from ideal but you came home with the goods anyway :thumbsup:
Sounds like the AF has caught up with the sony now then, breaks my heart sometimes binning so many perfectly good photos :laugh;

Thanks, in good light it's near perfect and in bad light still good so no complaints here:yay:

Good grief, your other photos don't make it look that bad, that looks pretty hardcore :yikes: Well done for holding it together (if you did :laugh2:)
I did but after coffee halfway through the morning I was a little wobbly, glad it was almost lunchtime, after eating no problems.

That sounds okay to me.

I asked because in 2010 I bought my Mac Pro from a seller on eBay. I had my bank account linked to my PayPal but it took 10 days for the money to come through and by that time the seller (in the UK) had sold the Mac Pro to someone else. When asked PayPal said they had to check first if the money (1400 euro) was in the bank account. I was so pissed off that I quit PayPal after that, deleted my account. Then later needed it again of course, signed up again, but never linked my bank account again. I just hope they don't need as much time to check things now...
Got my second order through Panamoz/Paypal yesterday, again 5 days including weekend and one day was Paypal getting the money out of my bank account.
