What was your first camera?

Not counting box cameras, disposables, numerous cartridge cameras, and other junk, my first real camera was an Argus of some sort that my father used. I don't think it was the C3, because it was a bit more rounded. Anyway, the first 'real' camera I bought was a Minolta SRT-101 in 1972. I went through a series of Minolta film cameras including the XD-11, and finally switched to digital. I had a few point and shoot digitals, and then bought a Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D. In the late oughts, I bought a Canon 40D, moved to a 7D, a 5D Mark III, and am now on a Canon R6 Mark II. At my age, this may be the end of the list!

Canon EOS 620 that I used with my dad that got me into photography when i was young.

The first camera I bought all by myself was a Kodak 104 Instamatic. I was maybe 10~12 at the time and had it well into my teens. I still have it in my camera drawer and it still works, or at least I think it does, the film advance works and the shutter still works so i figure if I put a cartridge in it, I would get pictures.

A Kodak Brownie Holiday Flash. It was a real camera for real snapshots! Shooting 127 B&W film.

That was followed later by an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic 35mm, mostly slides. I had a 50mm 1.4 with it, and later splurged on a Vivitar Series 1 105mm f2.5 macro, which was an awesome lens in its day!
