Sometimes, I see things which could fit in another thread.
But my initial reaction is usually, "That's a nightmare of mis-design/couldn't be bothered/just did what we were told to do..." type scenes.
So this thread is for the stuff humans have put together which make you wonder if they were drunk at the time.

Painful to the eyes.
Or:
Maybe dangerous.
Or:
A demonstration of making the least possible effort.

And yet a demonstration that the planet isn't run by robots (yet) ;)

What a fantastic thread idea! :sunny: I can't wait to see more.
Thank you so much.

There are lots of examples here...
...but I need others to search locally for their own creative images of planning/design gone wrong 🤣👍👍

I shoot a fair amount of infrastructure and architecture and general human-built stuff, so I see work like this a bit. Sometimes I even make shots. But they get lost in early culls. They'd be so deep in the catalog that I'd never find them. I'll keep an eye out for new ones.

I'll contribute a bit of human overreach courtesy of the Frenchtown Historic Site outside Walla Walla.

And yes, there will be a test.

Great 😃
Thanks so much for joining in.

It's views like this which make me wonder what the purpose of cities really is.
🤷‍♂️

Talk about sardines.

En route home, and this triple-layer of residential buildings, crammed together, on a steep slope, in this country; famous for its earthquakes, made me remember this thread.

What on earth were they thinking? 🤷‍♂️

On the left, the new St James Quarter in Edinburgh...

That is so neat and tidy compared to the usual way it is here in Thailand.

Another one for the thread: very difficult to photograph due to it being viewed best from a very busy road.

But today, I found a break in the traffic and could pull into a small parking place.

In a country famous for terrible earthquakes and corrupt construction companies, why buy/live in houses so near a sheer drop?
🤷‍♂️

This enormous monstrosity is in the middle of a housing area.

I don't even want to think about the effects of anything emitted by that, on the local residents.
