Was the "History"menu item retired?

I used it yesterday. Seems to be missing in the menus at the top and also missing on mobile.

Thanks for pointing it out, David. I hadn't noticed that it was missing.

We have had some kind of glitch where a bunch of add-ons got removed from the forum setup. This included the EXIF display, another add-on that was causing the home page not displaying, etc., and it appears, the History add-on as well.

I have re-installed the History add-on and the clickable item should now show up in the Forums submenu. Of course, it is blank but should build up your history as you keep browsing the forum.

Great news! Glad that History didn't go the way of history. I will click threads and see what it builds up. It was one good method to make sure I was caught up on recents that I had visited.

That’s weird. I have a long list. Let me see if I can figure out if it is related some permission for forum users versus administrators. Sorry about that. This “glitch” has proven to be a major PITA.

Can you check again now? Maybe log out and log back in and check? I made some adjustments to your profile although I shouldn't have to as you should have got the standard privileges that all users have. Let me know.

OK, this is very weird.

Opening it up to everyone else:

Can anyone else see their history by clicking on the History button at the top in the Forums sub-menu?

I want to see if there is something unique to David or if this isn't working for anyone. Because I read the README documentation for the add-on and turned on all the switches in the right places for this to work for all users, so if it is not working for anyone, then I would need to reach out to the add-on developer to debug this.

Patrick, thanks for that. Yes, the old history is sadly gone because the History plug-in was one of several that disappeared and reinstalling it caused it to lose the old history. But I'm glad to see that the add-on is working for you. So, what's going on with David's account? Not sure, but I'll try to figure it out tomorrow. Hope you can live without the history for a bit longer, David!

Not yet. I will try to clear out just the FoP section of my cache sometime soon. I don't want to do a nuclear clear everything cache.
