That's just creepy.Another example using masks with a textured layer selectively added - just for fun.View attachment 5881
Really like this one. Well done.A black layer with carefully erasing where he highlighted areas are. View attachment 11764
Took the words right out of my mouth. That's just creepy.
This one is niceAnother method for having extra creative fun with stills photographs which I need to remember how to do, now that I'm "feeling red-hot" for FoP.
Add your shots here, and if anyone is new to the mysterious world of "layers", feel free to talk/ask about that, too.

Not usually a fan of selective coloring but this one is great!A third thing to play with, using layers is isolating and selectively editing something in your image.
I've no doubt an app will do this effect now, but it's still interesting as a demonstration of how accurately you can alter one detail.View attachment 4823
Thanks a lot.Not usually a fan of selective coloring but this one is great!
Ah, but you're being paid actual real money to get that polished finish.I use layer masks for retouching, but the goal is to make the end result look unedited. It's definitely not fun or very creative.
I appreciate that, thank you.Ah, but you're being paid actual real money to get that polished finish.
And that's because you're highly talented.
And retouching is a use of layer masks I've not even mentioned...
...so if possible, please do add some of your "before/after" shots to demonstrate the results![]()
