Up page arrow

No it hasn't. I still see it.

It's a little temperamental as in have to move the page slightly sometimes for it to appear. But yeah it's there and works as advertised!

I think the up page function may behave differently from browser to browser. I primarily use Brave, and I almost missed it. There the arrow disappears when I move my cursor away. On Chrome the arrows are obvious and don't disappear. It might also appear more visible depending on style selected.

If you had it and now you don't, try turning off your ad blocker. AdBlock removes the up arrow on my Firefox/Win10 machine.

It's clear on Mac with Firefox's ad blocker. It now has a partner, an up as well as the down.

Mine is blank when I first visit the page but any scroll up/down with the mouse wheel bring it back. I am running an add blocker but not going to turn it iff. A click on the scroll wheel is a small price to pay for not having to be bombarded by ads. :)

Correct.

it's like you all use your phones to look at the images. tsk tsk.

any modern mouse makes the arrows redundant.
The arrows are a convenient way to jump to the top or bottom of the page, even with a mouse. The "Home" key works with many web sites to jump to the top of a page.

is it just me or would it be nice to turn pages from the top of the page too?
Pages within a thread? We can. The place to click is near the upper left. Or did you mean something else? On my MacBook, sideways two-finger swiping performs Back and Forward. The delete key also does Back.

In the bottom right corner seems to have disappeared.

It *is* a bit 'coy'... (on Win 10 PC, with Task Bar set up for bottom of screen and Auto Hide, Chrome as browser...)
  • At very top of page, buttons not visible until you scroll down a bit, then they appear, but disappear after about 3 seconds
  • At very bottom of page, buttons initially visible but disappear after about 3 seconds, and if you scroll Up they reappear but disappear after about 3 seconds again.
I can understand clearing them off in order to make space on the screen for other stuff for smaller displays, and find the interface reasonable on a touch screen (phone/tablet) as a simple flick of the finger causes a scroll and reappearance of buttons which one can qulckly press if desired, but on a non-touchscreen desktop display the need to first scroll the page somehow first can prove awkward
...even on keyboards with Home button, press of Home does not necessarily bring any reaction! (no going to top page, nor making buttons appear at lower right); pressing Home should simply take you to top of page, without having to first scroll the screen to make the buttons appear.
And, although I cannot consistently replicate this at will, there is some condition which makes the button display persistant on the screen...understanding that logic would be beneficial for users who want the buttons to persist at will.

For folk who are still struggling with up arrows, there are browser extensions that do it with a range of arrow designs.
