For anyone who likes wintry sights and sounds, the Yosemite Nature Notes series includes a 7-minute video on frazil ice, which is frozen mist created in waterfalls. Here's a little of it in Yosemite Creek just below Yosemite Falls, April 17, 2013, 9:33 a.m.

The previous day, the weather was unsettled. At times there were hailstorms, but the hail was soft and round when it fell, more like tiny snowballs (~4 mm) than like ice chips. This is some of it. I later learned that it's called graupel.
