The Tragedies and Triumphs of Lee Miller:

There is an article from PetaPixel regarding the re-creation of the image of Miller in Hitler's bathtub on the day he committed suicide, one of Miller's most iconic images:

Inevitably, there are things I disagree with. Miller and Sherman didn't 'sneak into Hitler's house', they looked for accommodations in Munich, and found one building with the magic combination of water, power, and a phone line. The building was used as a US unit headquarters, but they shared a billet with some staff in one of the apartments and it was there that they realized they had struck gold - it was Hitler's. They not only found great digs, but lots of inspirational images and Miller apparently "liberated" Hitler's Leica camera.

I just watched this piece on the Lee film - absolutely poignant. As someone who suffers from PTSD, I relate to her journey and situation so much. So much respect to Kate Winslet for the long journey that brought this to our screens.
