Tanager Lodge is a sprawling property in tropical southern Belize. It is set in green lawns bordered by bushes, forest, and a river.
Birds can be found here in the trees on the property and especially at two feeders. The feeders attract many colorful birds. It is possible to photograph them on natural perches before they come down to the feeders. Mr Steve at the lodge is a guide. He took me on a morning walk and we found several interesting birds. Those were birds that don't come to the feeders. Another staff member also helped me impromptu for a while when he noticed me out with my camera.
I was also able to find a few insects to photograph at Tanager.
