Suggestion re: Show us your Castles

I seem to be the only person supporting this thread at the moment. It's not difficult for me as there are over 2,000 of them in Scotland. Many were fortified homes for an extend family My suggestion is that the title should be changed to "Show us you Castles, Forts and Towers" OR "Show us you Castles, Forts, Towers and"

My opinion is that it is fine as is. I have some castle pix but I'll spread them out over time as they are often the same subject. Another criteria I use to decide which thread to post was the time of last posting of the thread. If a thread hasn't had posts in a while, I'll post something over another thread on a different subject with more recent posts. I'm easily amused in how a thread with no activity for some time gets many posts after I "revive" it. So one reason I haven't posted in the castle thread is that it has had recent posts, most recently yesterday!

I, for one, do consider "castle" to mean fortifications (such as a barbican which may be part of a walled city or castle), a portion of a walled city, a fortress, the Great Wall of China, or the US Embassy in almost any country (these embassies aren't very photogenic) in the context of FoP (or the old PotN).

On other threads, things seem to be taken a bit loosely. Looking at the two castle threads, I don't see evidence that people are being very strict about calling something a "castle". I see one thread is far more popular than the other one. Looking at the longer thread, I think many other people share my interpretation.

I'm not a moderator... I reported my post so one of the moderators can make the decision about renaming it.

I've added Forts & Towers to the "show us your" thread title - love seeing these buildings! we've not really got many "proper" castles in New Zealand
(Larnoch near Dunedin is the only one I can think of - there may be others)
