Sony Lounge Thread GM-CR MK IV-A

Thanks Daniel, appreciated. The 135 isn’t always the easiest to work with, but it produces some amazing looking results.
I'd imagine working distance would be the main issue right? I've always wanted a 135mm and tempted by the LAB but may just get a 70-180mm G2 again soon.

Yeah, generally for photos of people, it mostly just feels too tight, and then you have to adjust. As you know, 85mm is far more practical for candids of people. That’s said when you get a portrait right, they look amazing.

My daughter has got right into horses this year! 😬 For pictures of her when she is riding in an arena, it’s perfect.

It’s ridiculously sharp as well at 1.8 so you can crop plenty, so it rarely feels like you need more reach. Arguably nowadays, it acts like a 135-250/300 depending on how much you’re prepared to crop.

That's why I've always owned an 85mm myself, the working distance is usable for both indoor and outdoors. 135mm has a very special look though for full body portraits with the shallow DOF still!

It would be a great focal length for horses etc and you could probably even add a TC to it if you needed.

I don't think I've got anything recent to add in here. Been pretty busy with car stuff, and other bits. But last week we had to say goodnight to this little beauty

At over 17 years old, time had unfortunately caught up with her.

Sorry for you loss Lee. It's never easy to let them go after they've become such a big part or our life. I've seen lots of pics of your little pup over the years, even going back to the POTN days. Suspect she had a great life and that you're left with some awesome memories!

Sorry to hear that Lee. From the pictures she shared lots of adventures you with all so I reckon she had a great 17 years. Best of wishes to you all.

Great work Lee.

Always difficult to find an original angle of the bridge!

The first is a tried and tested angle but with really nice light, colours look lush.

The second truly is an original composition. Great work and loving the low lying fog.
