Sony Lounge Thread GM-CR MK IV-A

Wow Cory! So grown up since what I remember from previous photos. Scary how time flies. My son started secondary school yesterday

I know I clicked a ;love; for all these images Jon, but well done. they are great.
Thanks Lee. I do have one more red arrow pic to share. But just on the plane about to return from hols to Greece. Will post some pics soon.

Hey guys, sorry not been on in a long time and thought I'd pop in and say hi. Still shooting Sony and have upgraded to an A7R5. Shooting lots of birds at the moment. Loving the tracking and ability to crop into files so much further.
Good to hear you're still doing well and enjoying the new camera!
Looks very good for the cost!

Would need an independent IQ test though for night skies.
Yes and I’m waiting for some more reviews first. It's around $350 AUD so would be well worth it to give 14mm a try.

Hi Folks! I still look at FoP pretty often including this thread. But it's been ages since I've posted a pic of the kids. So here we are on a recent trip to Vancouver Island, BC. Super pretty up there!View attachment 173633
I am pretty sure I bought a 135L from you about 15yrs ago...I can't believe those are the same 2 kids I saw in the sample images you sent me. Wow, time flies!!!

Sharing a few pics of my very first Rolex. This timepiece is absolutely stunning, and I am so excited to finally own one. :)

Thank you!! It is by far the most money I have had the pleasure to spend on a single item.

Many congrats. That is all the bling!

I’ve never been bothered by them or seen the appeal, or got close to one until recently.

My mate sold his business a while back and as a result he is now now able to dabble in the expensive watch world. I managed a closer inspection of one recently and they really are works of art. I was much more taken back than I expected to be.

Enjoy.

Thank you so much Jon!

My wife and I are just a couple of very ordinary people, and she is especially not a big spender by any means. This Rolex and her Cartier bracelets were our first big purchases to commemorate our upcoming 25th anniversary. She allowed me to spend up to 40K from our savings, so there will be another one coming soon! :yay: I am truly grateful for my better half.

Congrats on the watch Joon.

Has anyone got or used the 24-50 f/2.8G lens? I go to Japan in 30 days and trying to plan the kit. My GM primes are the 24,35 and 50 1.4’s but I don’t want to lug them with me. So this G lens seems like a no brainer to me. Covers the range of my primes and still fast-ish at 2.8 constant. Just haven’t really heard anyone talk about it.

Edit - also been considering just taking the x100VI and nothing else but feeling scared on that decision currently

On paper, to me, it could be quite a useful lens. It covers a nice focal range with a decent aperture as you mention Eddie - I'm pretty sure it extends on zoom though, rather than being internal. Which I guess isn't the end of the world, I just think those style of lenses look a bit silly :) The old Canon 24-105L did it, although I didn't have that one for long back then.

Picked a used one up, take it to Japan & sell it when you get back :)

I've gone on full days out with the X100f, but I'm not sure I could do a full holiday!!

We're off to different parts of Wales for 12 nights (I think) and I am taking the Sony kit! :ROFLMAO: A7Riii, 35GM, 70-180/2.8 (I might pack the 24GM - night skies! And the A7 as back up!) Yashica Mat 124G (no 35mm film) and the X100f :)
