Is there any way to get rid of the “Similar Threads” that appear at the bottom of the thread that you are viewing. They are annoying and most of those that are listed don’t have any relevance to the thread that you are actually looking at.

Just another data point, but so far, they have not bothered me.

I have on a couple of occasions navigated to threads in that list and did find them of interest. Not essential, but useful.

Yes, I accept that it is early days and that things may change in time. However, what have the following threads got in common with PANNING, MOTORSPORT, or SPORT.

There aren’t many similar threads for motorsports yet so I guess the system is being “creative.” As more threads are being created it will undoubtedly get better.

So why not just ignore that section for now, which is easy to do as it’s at the bottom of the page.

I also think that the "Similar threads" algorithm is seriously screwed up. This is what you find under the Jokes thread in The Lounge. Why is Levina's bird thread a joke?

The algorithm is still young and exploring and building.. Give it time, let it learn. It's all baby steps.

Yes, I accept that it is early days and that things may change in time. However, what have the following threads got in common with PANNING, MOTORSPORT, or SPORT.

suspect at this stage the thing in common is that the threads were started around the same time, guessing the back-end doesn't yet have enough information to make really good decisions on what's similar and what's not.
