Haha, double likes! Thanks Levina. Posting this series has brought to light some posting limitations, whilst in the posting guidelines it says post only two images at a time the forum allowed me to post with links to up to four, it wouldn't let me post more than that at a time. I understand the storage implications for uploaded images but all mine are linked. On potn there was an eight image limit for linked images which would enable posts like mine to be one post not the two needed here. Is that something that can be looked into?

Sid, the reasoning behind the limit is the big dedicated threads, which are dominating the Image Sharing forums. We want people to not post too many images at once in them as these threads are not suited for that. Many people post in it and we feel that a stream of 8 images in one post is simply too much.

We would have no problem with 8 or even more embedded images in one post in individual threads, such as yours. Problem is we can’t make the software see the difference and so we compromised. We wanted a limit of 2 attached and 2 embedded. The embedded became 4. There are no plans to change that at this time but you can always post another comment and fill it with images, just like you did here.

Ok, all fair enough. How about changing it for the thread starter only? That would stop it happening in the mega threads. Only a suggestion, not gonna stop me whatever happens

Believe it or not, Sid, but we had the same thought. Unfortunately the software can’t set permissions for just a thread starter so it’s not an option.
