Texas is PART of their wintering grounds. It is amazing the numbers that are here.That's a LOT of Sand Hills. I usually only see them up in the sky in large numbers, but usually less than 100. Looked it up... a "sedge" of cranes is a collective noun for Sand Hills.
Yes to the numbers as mentioned above. I love watching the dance as well and to get a chance to photograph them doing it. Thanks for commenting.THe numbers are impressive..
