Sandhill cranes

That's a LOT of Sand Hills. I usually only see them up in the sky in large numbers, but usually less than 100. Looked it up... a "sedge" of cranes is a collective noun for Sand Hills.
 
THe numbers are impressive..
I really like the last set.. it's the dance I love to see.

Texas is PART of their wintering grounds. It is amazing the numbers that are here.

Yes to the numbers as mentioned above. I love watching the dance as well and to get a chance to photograph them doing it. Thanks for commenting.
 
Those are great. Excellent clarity, nice lighting & pose. It looks frizzed up. Nice in-flights against the blue sky.

I suppose I should have been clear in the beginning but thought if the words "post yours" weren't present in the title folks would know this wasn't intended to be a share thread but my photos for this crane season. Not meaning to come across badly but didn't intend for this to be a "mega, post yours" thread.
