"Rainy days & Mondays (never) get me down 🎶" - photo challenge

OK you lovely guys and girls.
Here's a challenge to get your teeth and shutter-button-fingers into.

- A lot of gear is water resistant.
- Action cameras, usually waterproof.
- So, get out there when it's raining!
- How creative can you be, on grey, miserable, rainy days?

These shots often lend themselves to B&W, so that's ok. But "colourful" is also good.

Reflections.
Rain streaks.
Wind and rain affecting people.
Dark.
Bright.
It's all there

The only rule is: don't put yourself at risk of exposure or hypothermia!

We've got an atmospheric river flowing over the PNW the last few days. Getting close to 10" of rain. This duck is swimming in a pond that didn't exist last Saturday.

It's a Monday, and the weather is incredible. We've a massive rainstorm coming over the city right now, so here's a shot to show how subtropical Kagoshima City looks in December.

It's been a terrible day today.
The weather forecast said "cloud then sun"!
But more accurate would have been "clouds then rain, plus gale-force winds, then more rain, and finally, just for a change...rain!"
This was looking out at The Sea of Japan, in between rain squalls.

Driving rain. The wind was blowing like hell. Not long after I took this photo there was a flash of lightning followed by a clap of thunder. Power went off to the better part of a day. Emergency services are still cleaning up fallen trees and restoring the power to some areas.

An odd day today...
Clouds, then rain, then intense sun, then more clouds.
For this shot, I simply desaturated the image, and nudged the contrast up, because the light was already weird and dramatic enough!

I couldn't be happier...
