Getting acquainted with the system. What do these items on the Privacy page mean?
  1. Receive your news feed. (I have a news feed? Where?)
  2. Start conversations with you. (Anyone can talk to me in a post. Does this item refer to some other context, such as a chat feature?)
  3. View your identities. (Could imply that a member can have more than one account. If not that, what's an identity?)

OhLook, your news feed is everything the people you follow do on the board. So you "follow" people (friends, people who's images you admire etc.) and then you can click on "your news feed" and you see their activity. On POTN befriending anyone did nothing. Here, it actually has a function. And it's really nice.

She says the font is too small. Both Baan and I compared the fonts with those on POTN and the fonts here are actually larger here. So, no idea what's wrong. The large font she is using is not easy on the eyes, I agree.

The fonts are NOT too small. Some might even be little big...but you know me Levina... Honestly the XF defaults are pretty pleasing!

I measured the fonts on screenshots. They're bigger at POTN. The default here is called 15 pt., but it's nothing like a standard 15 pt. I set it to 18 so I can see what I'm doing. Reading other people's posts takes more effort, like reading the quotes in Pekka's system.

On a PC, right click and mouse wheel enlarges or shrinks. So, any font size is any size you want.

Just a guess, on MAC, Ctrl is equivalent of PC right click. So maybe Ctrl-Click-Mouse Wheel.

Hey Dave!

Seems to me if all things are equal, you can compare like that. Both in Firefox, both viewing web pages the same, making sure the browser windows are equally big etc.
On the Mac it's command and + key to zoom in or out.

I suppose my point is it's fast and easy to change to suit.

"Reading other people's posts takes more effort". So OhLook as changed her font size, which others don't like.
Only her posts are easy for her to read.
Changing size using Command + would make other's posts easy to read for her.
Others would then prefer her posts (if she used default font size).

It seems that would be a better solution to the problem.

@Mr Chodes
Agreed. The large font is rather unpleasant. The cmd and + option is a better one to enlarge the font.
Or just change settings in the browser so you have it as a default size. Both in Safari and Firefox you can change it to whatever you like.

Hi, Dave! Good to see you here.

Command-+ enlarges everything on a page, not just fonts.

Yes, that's true. In addition, I measured the sample lines of typing at both sites before making the combined screenshot.

So 18-pt. replies annoy people? The 18 pt. is larger than I want, but there's nothing between 15 and 18. In the 15-pt. option, quoted posts within a reply are REALLY tiny.
