True since the 1982, but in the UK we only have the two species so I lump them together with the other old world warblers rather than stress about it.Kinglets are not warblers.
In my parts, we loosely group kinglets and vireos together with warblers when we are going out "birding" as they travel together, have similar traits and behaviors, and can even look very similar. Some vireos look darn close to some warbler species that they can be very difficult to differentiate as they hop and dart through the trees in often-not-the-best lighting and distances.True since the 1982, but in the UK we only have the two species so I lump them together with the other old world warblers rather than stress about it.
