I groaned when I first learned that these guys were coming to the local air show.

But I was pleasantly surprised and I'll give them 8/10 for looking the part.

But the guy portraying Pete Mitchell/Tom Cruise really nailed the voice - down to the inflections and even the laugh. People in the crowd far away from the stage who were not even watching the show started looking at each other and asking if that was really him.

Tav Falco of Tav Falco Panther Burns

i guess he was kind of a big deal in the late 1970s and early 1980s who helped nationally popularize the blending of blues, country, and other American traditional music styles with rock music among groups playing in alternative music and punk music venues of the time. The earliest and most renowned of these groups to imbue these styles with expressionist theatricality and primitive spontaneity were The Cramps, largely influenced by rockabilly music.
