This one was soooooo tricky due to very low ambient lighting....
...but thankfully, the croc was happy to pose for me.
In case you're interested, this was shot on an Olympus m4/3 body + Olympus 100-400 lens mounted on a 10mm extension tube using manual focus.
And not one single other zoo-goer bothered to "see" what I saw.
They all just shuffled through and snapped a wide shot on their smartphones.

That’s an answer that could be interpreted in many ways:
- glass as in a window between you and the beast, so no danger
- glass as in you were that close, so it was very dangerous
- glass as in your lens, the danger now depending on how long your glass was
So I’m non the wiser!

I was only in danger of tripping over other zoo-goers, due to my cameras, coat, bags, monopod and lunch(!) being strewn across the floor in front of the Caiman crocodile window.
But at closest, my nose was about 10cms from the Caiman's nose.

Well, it could have been in the wild... I don't know if gators are native in Japan. Hmmm...No...

Nope. None here. Just huge wolf spiders which make me scream like a girl!Well, it could have been in the wild... I don't know if gators are native in Japan. Hmmm...
And 'habu' which are venomous snakes.
And a kind of centipede which can disable an adult human.
So, not much.

As often happens, I spotted the thread title in a search, and completely ignored the actual forum
So I'll stop posting completely out-of-theme reflections

Yeah....I hadn't noticed that either!!
'BirdsofBC' sent me a PM explaining that the "Reflections" was in the "Birds" forum
I hadn't noticed at all.........
Maybe within the 'search' tool, the font for the parent forum could be in bold?

That is one of the things where AMASS was better. It had a separate column for the forum something was posted in. Now it's not so clear, you have to look for it as its location sort of shifts, depending on how long a user name is. I'm used to it now, but yeah, it's not very handy. Unfortunately we can't make only a part of that text bold and we can't add an extra column either...Yeah....
