The Clauscentrale is a power station in Maasbracht, near Roermond. It is one of the largest gas-fired power stations in the Netherlands. The Clauscentrale is the first supercritical power station in the Netherlands.[1] As a result of the fall in the price of electricity and natural gas as a relatively expensive fuel (compared to coal), this power station was shut down for years, but was restarted in 2020. The power station was used as a start/stop operation to absorb fluctuations in electricity production and demand, for example when solar or wind energy generation was reduced.

I looked up as I was about to reverse into a parking spot before doing some beach paragliding, and this framed sky kinda struck me as dramatically pretty.
