Cool! What is amaranth anyway? I googled it and it looks a bit like quinoa? Are only the seeds edible?

Super interesting shot, fotoi. Good eye/catch!
Melissa, that’s incredible! I would like to know what you use to produce the bubble, and how cold does it need to be? How long do they last? Is the bottom frozen, while the top half is still liquid in this shot?Frozen Bubble #2.
We had another few very cold days, so I had another go at photographing frozen bubbles. I like the feather-like crystals in this one. Hopefully the coldest days are behind us though!

Thanks, Keith! I use dish liquid, sugar, and corn syrup dissolved in warm water. (If you would like details on how to make it, just let me know.) I have read that it needs to be at least -10°C (14°F). It was -17°C when I took the above photo.Melissa, that’s incredible! How many tries did you take to get this beautiful shot? Congrats for getting it, and thanks for sharing.
They're both colorful, but that second one is really terrific!Red Lichen, Cryptothecia rubrocincta, (I think?) growing on a Pygmy Date Palm (Phoenix roebelenii):

Oh WOW! Thanks Melissa, that was wonderful.Since a few people were curious about the frozen bubble, here is a video that I took of one freezing. (I tried to upload it directly, but the file size was too large.)

I love these little flowers but find them hard to take a good photo of, because they're so tiny.I love it when I find flowers like these.
My eyes aren't as good as they used to be, and these beauties are only 5mm across (I just went back outside, and measured them).
Such delicate perfection.
