A BBQ platter from B.T.’s Smokehouse in Sturbridge, Massachusetts

This platter consisted of two huge Beef Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Pulled Pork, and Brisket.
We also enjoyed sides of Cole Slaw, Carrot Slaw, Pickled Red Onions, Cucumber Salad, Jalapeños, Potato Salad, and BBQ Black Beans.

Nansville Hot Chicken Sandwich from Nan's Kitchen in Southborough, Massachusetts

Crispy fried chicken slathered in Calabrian chili oil and dusted with red pepper flakes and our special blend of spices. Served on a griddled bun with smoky mayo and crisp pickles.

Maple-smoked turkey, prosciutto cotto and sharp cheddar on cinnamon brioche with house-made red currant–blueberry jam and Dijon–horseradish mayo.

It's O-bon (お盆) here in Japan, when families visit their hometowns, and pay their respect (quite literally!!! ) to their dead ancestors.

And they eat a LOT of food; I haven't worked out why so much!

This is just one course from today's event. And my belly is ready to explode.

A Buffalo Chicken Pretzel Griller at The New England Craft Pub.
Photographed and enjoyed at the 2025 Big E in Springfield, Massachusetts.
(The Big E is a multi-state, 'stare fair')
It was described on their menu as: Buffalo - Chicken, Gorgonzola, Cheddar & Buffalo Sauce
It was delicious, and really hit-the-spot!
Also seen in the image, is a pint of Two Juicy Double IPA from Two Roads Brewing Company
It too was delicious, and really hit-the-spot!
