New Forest Ponies in Hampshire UK (Actually a 1000 year old forest that William the Conqueror took ownership of as his own 'New' hunting forest in 1079).

Some Icelandic horses that were our neighbors at our AirBNB on our Iceland trip last week. Beautiful animals. We got to ride some while we were there also (not these, they were in a field), rode them from the stable to the beach and back.

Apparently Icelandic horses are a special breed to the island, the government allows no horses to be imported at all. Some of these are available for export, mostly to Scandinavian (cold) countries. We saw them EVERYWHERE in all colors but they all looked similar in size and shape. They are smallish in stature compared to other breeds, but very strong and prefer to live outdoors all the time, according to the stable owner we met. Really cool critters. I have a few more photos I'm still sorting through. Canon R5 with RF 24-105 f4L
