Bushy Run Battlefield, Jeanette PA - October 2010

It would be helpful if you zeroed in on the location a little bit more than just giving the name of the state.
That's the Corkscrew Gulch area, by placing the mouse arrow on the picture it will tell you where it was taken, most of the time Stan puts his pictures in folders. But when I'm traveling all over Colorado for 7-10 days taking hundreds of pictures, most of the time when I get home I have no idea what in area of Colorado most pictures were taken. I might be jeeping from Ouray to Telluride and then driving all over those areas taking many, many pictures, most of the time I can't tell you where I shot a particular shot because I drove on 30-40 different roads that day. Other days I might drive from Ouray to Dillon, then go north or south of Dillon for several hours and when I get home and look at the pictures I can't even tell you in what county I was in.

Huh. I hit the same areas every year, I'm kind of in a rut, I know where I take everything, sometimes even the specific spot on the road for a lot of my pictures. I will click on Sparker's pictures for locations. I presume you make the trip up from Texas every year? It is a nice time of year to be here, although last fall the weather was crummy (for pictures), that is, really nice, no clouds or storms.

I try to get there in late September-early October when the aspens are at their best. Last year I was there in the second and third weeks of October and, like you said, the weather was not the best for picture taking, no clouds just blue sky most of the time.
