A replica of Prague's Old Town Clock stands in Kadaň in northern Bohemia. Compared to the original, it is twice the size - it measures over five metres and weighs more than five tonnes. However, the Kadan astronomical clock does not have moving wheels, it is a metal statue. From the back and side, the clock is open, so everyone can see exactly what the machine looks like from the inside. It is reminiscent of the author of the Prague astronomical clock, the royal clockmaker Nicholas of Kadaň.
