Post your Bird Portraits

Fall colors are creeping in. Absolutely the most beautiful season of the year here in the northern hemisphere, if you ask me :giggle: I love trying to work the autumnal foliage into my bird photos as much as possible (though getting them to land in the exact spot is a roll of the dice). This morning I saw a lot of White-throated Sparrow, and their namesake white + yellow brows offer such a striking contrast to the orange/yellow/reds of the surrounding leaves:

Some more from this mornings haul. Ruby-crowned Kinglets have also arrived, turbo-charged little birds! Again, worked to get fall foliage in the shots.

Since March I've been using my 600 f/4 for a majority of my birding, but have noticed an overall decline in both my enjoyment and end-results due to the inflexible nature that comes with the big super-tele primes, so made the decision yesterday to bench the 600TC for the remainder of fall migration, in favor of my all-time favorite lens, the Nikon 600PF f/6.3. Subsequently, this morning, had the best time birding that I've had in quite a while.
