Post Your Best Barn Photos

Barn from our New York trip a month ago. The owner, who lived across the road came out wondering what I was doing taking photos of her barn. I told her it was a superb rustic old structure that had character. She was puzzled and told me that they were having it torn down next year. She hated the thing. Very sad. As we were were driving away I wondered if she knew how much all that old wood was worth to a restoration carpenter.

I love barns, especially old barns!

A few of my shots…

Maybe a little “over cooked” on this one, but that’s what I was shooting for.

This one has since been converted into a house. Wish I could see what it looks like inside.

New owners have since painted this one white, I really preferred it red. Totally changed the feel of it for me.

I get where she is coming from, but, man, what a waste. Not only is it a beautiful piece of history, they have thousands upon thousands of dollars of barn wood and tin roof there, like you implied.
I'd help 'em tear it down for payments in wood. heheh
GREAT shot, by the way, I have NEVER, EVER seen anything like this in Texas
