View attachment 114589On Owl Creek Pass near Ridgway, CO. There have been some fabulous pictures taken of this area when the aspens are golden, the skies cloudy and with some snow on the mountains, unfortunately this is not one of them. But we have to take what we can get sometimes.
I didn't see any butterflies up there, Stan, but even if I had I'd be afraid to post them and try to name them. ;biggrin;

Looks like you were up there a few days after I was. A few more leaves when I was there, but same blue skies, was not a great fall, weather-wise, for photography. Nice for just being out there though.fob Owl Creek_366.JPG

I was there on Oct. 10, Patrick. There were plenty of golden aspens on the road at the top, but not near what I had hoped for. But, as you said, it was nice just being out there. I was hoping that there might be a little snow up for picture taking, but it hadn't happened yet. That was the first time I had been on Owl Creek Pass but it certainly won't be the last time.
