I live near Sequoia Nt’l Park and visit it frequently. Still, I am always amazed to see the size comparison of people to The General Sherman tree…the granddaddy of them all. Just an iPhone shot but still fun to share.

Wowa...that's a BIG tree! If those people at the base wen't present I wouldn't have perceved at this tree's massive height!

From the first batch of photos of 2024. Spent a few days holed up due to that cold snap, so just wanted to go anywhere today.

Here in the UK I'm finding getting out for a sunrise or sunset is tricky this time of year. It's flipping cold outside....the british roads are scary this time of year and the sunrise / sunset time preclude office hours...so i'm limited to the weekends, which are the only days I can get domestic stuff done! Looking forwrfs to the early signs of spring, the change in weather and longer days to shoot in.

Guys, this is a winter scene from Sedona AZ a few weeks ago. This is the beginning of the famous West Fork trail which is located in Oak Creek canyon and as is one of the more consistent spots to see snow and winter weather due its higher elevation and cooler canyon micro climate. You can see more info here about snow in Sedona here on my blog.
