I'll start off. Post your video of any bird, flying or perched. I would love to see what others are doing with all the video goodies we get with our mirror less (and DSLR) cameras these days. Your gear used would be nice but not required.

Bald Eagle swooping and catching a small fish in some nice early morning light yesterday. They are enjoying the tailwaters of the L&D 21 on the Mississippi River in this freezing, icy weather. Shot with Canon R5 RF 100-500 lens with RF 1.4X. Shot in 120 fps and rendered in 30 fps timeline.

This one I got a big kick out of. Maybe my favorite video from last week at L&D 21 on the Mississippi River.
A young Bald Eagle has a hard time with two different big catches. Watch until the end.

Bald Eagles trying to steal fish. I usually try to keep man-made objects out of my shots. Last Sunday at L&D 21 on Mississippi River the only open water was right next to the locks. I put together a few short clips in the nice light and some stealing attempts.
R5 RF100-500 with 1.4X 120fps on a 30 fps timeline. A couple parts slowed even more.

What, no more bird videos? I installed an add-on that will make pages with embedded videos load blazingly fast, no matter how many videos are on the page, because it disables all unnecessary third party scripts.
Also, there is a button for supported video players (YouTube and others) to make the video float in the corner of the screen like a miniplayer. Pretty cool.

Here is footage of a couple of swans. The mating ritual first and then the mating. Make sure to change quality from SD to HD (why are these videos always set to low res?).

Well done and interesting video Levina!

Busy at the Bald Eagle Nest Sunday morning near Hannibal, MO and the Mississippi River. Two deliveries of nest material by adults, eaglet trying do nest maintenance, eaglet jumping, flapping wings, maybe a couple Titanic poses by eaglet into the wind, and a great view of one of the adult Bald Eagles on a tree very near the nest in the windy conditions at end of video.

The young one hopping around on the nest, practising its wings was actually rather moving; already a big, impressive looking bird and yet still a baby. Very nice video.
Thanks Levina! They really grow fast. If interested, you can look at my YouTube page for a video I posted dated 4.11.24 which show the eaglet much smaller. You can see how much it grew in 1 month and 1 day. It amazes me every year.

I'll check out that video later, Dave. They do have to grow up fast, that's for sure.
