That's an interesting construction you found there, Hideta.
I've not come across one like it, in Kagoshima Prefecture, but it could be shredded daikon.
Or Japanese burdock.

Had the opportunity to suck on a seed straight from out of the pod (texture made me think of a cow's eyeball).
But definitely had a hint of that chocolate taste that we all know.
