Photos of women tend to be what is most popular with portrait photographers so I wouldn't be surprised if this thread gets very little activity or if I'm the only one to post in it, but that's fine by me. That said, men are typically what I photograph more than anything, primarily in the realm of beauty and "glamour". That doesn't mean that all of the male portraits shared in this thread need to be in those genres though.

I'll start it off with a portrait from my most recent session:

An old print, probably T-Max film. Hand painted with Marshall oils. I think this was in a time where computers maxed out at 16MB of RAM.

Beautiful shot. I love this lighting.
Thank you Daniel. There was a little disagreement on the lighting of this shot. I was gaffing the shoot that my girlfriend at the time was doing. She wanted a rim light for the model that I thought was too much. She got her way of course, but when she was changing film, I turned the rim light off and took this shot.

I would prefer this shot, even though I've not seen the rim lit. They are fun to do but sometimes a more natural effect is nicer, to me.

The T-max shot is wonderful! Very thoughtful and moody.
