Thanks! Sometimes my missus has a better eye for compsition than I do! It's certainly a cracking view—the Crown Range Road Scenic Lookout in New Zealand, looking towards Queenstown.

Optical illusion, Cliff.
It was the angle at which Mum took the photo.

Spring thermals are really violent here, so I don't get closer than about 5~10 metres.

Late summer though, when the rising thermals are less dynamic, and yeah, I do sometimes brush the tops of the trees with my boots.
