Any chance of posting Camera, lens and camera & lens settings on posted pics❓ In POTN and other camera sites that include that info, it is helpful to me.

It's in the roadmap of things to do, in the meantime it's possible to use Firefox with a plug-in to view exif data if it exists on the image itself.

p.s. welcome aboard!

This is unfortunately a limitation of the XenForo software platform that this forum (and many others) is based on. There is some talk about building in automatic EXIF detection and inclusion in a future platform revision but we don't have confirmation of this. There are sites that have written homebrew add-ons that do this for them but we don't have that yet. As Joeseph said, we are looking into what our options are, but at the moment, there is no setting switch that we can turn on to enable automatic EXIF inclusion.

In the meantime, whenever I post photos, I take the exctra minute to manually cut/paste the EXIF info in the thread right above the photo. I know this is not convenient and not everyone has the patience to do it, but it frankly doesn't take that much time. Only disadvantage with the browser plugin EXIF viewer is that it doesn't work for images embedded with img tags. It only works for uploaded images.

My Google-Fu is normally rather good for technical issues, but it truly seems as if there's no
addon to XenForo to display EXIF without strict limitations. Plenty of paid options, but most of those
seem to be collections of a lot of other stuff likely not useful or pertinent.

It's unusual, really.
A platform as widely-used as XenForo typically has repositories of lots of freebies for customization,
simply due to popularity. While I don't know the internals of it, I find it rather disheartening
that there doesn't seem to be more of a sharing attitude among the developers.

For what it's worth, my images link back to Flickr and all the information. I do realize I'm only one person and so it doesn't help much.

Yes, leaving the entire Flickr Bbcode intact does in fact preserve fhe Exif information although clicking on her photo takes you out of the forum which so sonetines annoying to people. Rwtaining only part of the Bbcode between the img tags keeps you in the forum but the exif info is lost. A conundrum.

As mentioned, it is something we are working hard on but most likely a way off. There is a workaround. We have installed an add-on that retains EXIF information so you can load a extension/plugin for your browser which will display EXIF. Personally I use Firefox as my browser and xlFr extension. It works very well with images that were published with EXIF data. Other browsers also have some version of EXIF. Go to your browsers extensions/plug-in section and do a search for EXIF. Something will pop up I'm sure.

Yeah, Mozilla-browser extensions/addons/plugins do the job fairly well,
while it doesn't seem to be much of an option for the likes of Edge or Safari.
Granted, I don't know much of the Edge ecosystem and know nothing of Apple/Mac/iOs...

A few years back, Opera did nearly everything one could wish for.

I use the Opera browser and just installed the Exify extension. Simply hover your mouse over the image, works well if the EXIF info hasn't been stripped.

If you post from Flckr then the link in the BBcode from Flickr links you to the image page where you can see the EXIF data.
A bit more convoluted but works.
