I photographed this photo that was in a high school annual.

After vastly improving the original using DxO Photolab 2, I used every trick in Elements 7 to lessen the "woven" texture and the "dots" of ink.

To look at the original on the printed page, one wouldn't believe all the texture that is there.

I believe my efforts show a better result than using a flatbed scanner.
