Panasonic Cameras

I have a Panasonic DMC-LF1, which I'm trying to sell. It works well, except the zoom lever stopped operating some time ago. In corresponding with a potential buyer, this became an issue, not so much for stills, since you can zoom with the lens ring, but for video, which was never a concern since I don't do that very often. Essentially, dirt or corrosion can get in the switch mechanicals preventing it's working and the fix is so simple. With the camera off, move the lever back and forth for a couple of minutes, which apparently cleans any crud in there. My camera is now working as it should and I posted this to save others from either expensive repairs or tossing a perfectly good piece of equipment.

Just discovered this thread. Bought my wife the the ZS 200 when her old Kodak z915 finally bit the dust. She has a love hate relationship with it as there are a couple of badly placed buttons she frequently manages to press. Regardless it is the perfect camera for day trips or hikes.
This was part of a quick, from the drivers window, shoot I did a few days ago.

I'm a Panasonic user, (G7) and I've just ordered a GH7 as an upgrade. I haven't used the G7 for a while (I have attached a 400mm lens to it) and when I went to check it just now I found that the battery had become wedged in the camera! Using a sharp point I persuaded it to come out and discovered that it had expanded. It was a "cheap" replacement, not a pukka Panasonic battery, with the trade name "Expresstech" on it. I recall my son having a similar problem with drone batteries once.
