It was an old market place circa 1750

The old Market Cross, Malmesbury Wiltshire. Built in 1490 and still in use every Friday. The gate to the left is thje entry to the Malmesbury Abbey grave yard where Hanna Twynnoy is buried. The woman was killed in Malmesbury by a tiger in 1703!
