So, the Mrs. scored the 600PF. As any good hubby would do, I had to try it out for her - "to make sure it's ok".

There were all low SS, High ISO shots due to conditions....

This lens has become my "1st String quarterback", it's what is mounted on my Z8 when I leave the house. The 180-600 is the more obvious choice due to its versatility, but I like the lighter weight of the 600PF more. The 800PF is the perfect birding lens... if you can work with the MFD, tight FOV, and extra 2lbs of weight. Nah, give me the "neo-500PF" every time, makes photography so much more enjoyable.

You have to hand it to Nikon with them making semi-affordable" prime telephoto lenses like this one. Great examples!

For sure, Nikon has nailed it with their Z tele lineup. No other brand is close at this point in time.
