New colors?

Some colors at Focus changed today between my morning and evening visits. Likes are now yellow, formerly blue. The rectangle showing what page you're on in a thread is green. The icons in the window where you type a reply are very faint. Is it just me (perhaps because I accepted Firefox's latest update) or did the management make these changes?



I really try to avoid complaining, but those last two changes lowered the contrast and made things harder to see. Blue number on green BG, light gray symbols on white. Please tell me this is a work in progress!

As you know I'm not on the staff any longer so I don't have access to the ACP anymore and can't check the colour settings for your style, but the greyed out icons in your editor window are caused by the BBCode button having been turned off (no doubt inadvertently). Just toggle it back on and the icons will be fine again:

Haven't heard of any changes in the back-end so to speak but now you mention it the page-number being green is a noticeable change. I have my browser set to "midnight blue" style so don't see the icons as being an issue as yours, but can see it being a bit vague if I set to "a classic look" - will check with the boffins to see if anything has been updated/changed.

I see that more things are different today. Did XenForo maybe do the upgrade to vs 2.3? It was scheduled for today. It's a big upgrade and it can particularly mess with custom styles, especially when extra code was added which I know happened for some styles. That could explain the different colouring in them.

Oh, I'm answering my own question: yes, XF did the upgrade. I can see it in my Classy too. Solid headers instead of a soft gradient. It's easily correctable of course, but... oh well...

That worked, thank you. Of course, it's possible that my cursor bumped into the button somehow, but I doubt it, considering that the change coincided with the other changes.

I use A Familiar Look.

Another difference: links in typed text and links just below a photo, such as links to Flickr, are gray now, used to be such a dark blue you could hardly tell them from the black text.

Forum software updates are known to mess up custom styles. And that's what happened here.

Look here, "What's New" in Classy: you can hardly make out the tabs. And the block header (just like the category headers) is solid grey now, no nice soft gradient. Easy to fix though.

The Forums page gained a sidebar about what's trending. One thread listed there has no new posts since August.

The icons on the message box should be more visible now. At least on the Familiar Look theme/style. It was indeed an error in the themes setting. I am occupied at the moment but will look at them some more when I get the chance.
