I couldn't find a thread showing what humans do, in our attempt at taming the untameable.
So post yours here.

Of course, here's my first post:
A crane-ship, lifting tetrapods into place, on a new section of sea defence wall.
Most of Japan is surrounded by these.
In my opinion, quite unsightly, but they do a good job at protecting our coastline from typhoons.
