Looking for something wider to go w/ RF 24-105 f/4L on R6 II

Soooo tempted to pull the trigger on that, but we got our annual bonus today, and it was about 60% of what I thought I was going to get. I'm also a bit concerned about the weight.

If I didn't already have the f/4 version (and dabbled more with ultra-wide lenses), I'd be all over this one. That deal is TOO good to pass up

That's kind of why I decided to jump on it. If I really end up not using it, I can probably sell it and not take too much of a hit. I already had bought the adapter so that I can use my EF 70-200 f/2.8 L IS and my EF 70-300 f/4-5.6L IS. Did some quick research on it, and saw some amazing shots taken with it. And I agree, wide, fast L glass for <$1k is a good deal. And being a Canon refurb, should be as good as a new one.

What part of Ohio are you in? I grew up in Cincinnati, but have been in NJ for years now.

Yes, any f/2.8L zoom at < $1k is practically unheard of. Looking forward to hearing your impressions of it when it arrives.

Yeah, looking forward to it. Had a bit of a scare yesterday when I went to check the shipping status, and I saw that the order had a status of 'Canceled'. Called in, and got a very helpful person on the phone. Seems there was an issue w/ the billing address for the CC. So, rather than call and correct the error, they canceled the order. Fortunately, they still had them available. As a courtesy, the CSR gave me free 2-day shipping. Should be here on Monday.
